1. So, apparently the Evil Queen is Elizabeth Bathory? Interesting, the way the serial killer has come to dominate our collective evil imaginary. Also, a shift in how we conceive of the evil (abject/monstrous) feminine?
2. OK, sorry to be crude here, but do you really believe at any point in the no-matter-how-distant future, K.Stew is actually going to surpass Charlize as World's Most Beautiful Woman? Forget that Charlize doesn't even make my top ten nominees for that title, do we have any Bazin-worthy indexical evidence of this? If you want me to buy that, stand up straight and brush your hair, girl.
3. Just how much juice is left in this "feminist" fairy-tale train?
4. Intellect/entertainment dichotomy? Does the fact that Breillat has done this so much more insightfully and interestingly mean that this one will be more fun to watch?
